Shivaan Asset Management

Get more from the assets, data and people you already have.

Shivaan Asset Management optimises reliability, standardises your asset data and lifts your team's capability, so every maintenance and investment decision is made on evidence.

Standardising asset data is method work, not a one-off clean-up. Our Data Standardisation and AI Readiness Framework sets out the five phases and nine steps behind that work.

Business & Stakeholder Needs

Business and stakeholder needs work is the setting of the asset management system, the asset management policy and the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) that connect your organisation's objectives to the way your assets are managed.

Shivaan Asset Management translates your business vision, values and objectives into the asset management system, policies and Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP) that keep the return on investment and the value gained from your assets aligned to stakeholders' expectations.

The asset management policy and strategic plan are developed in guidance of the ISO 55000 series, so your assets stay sustainable through their lifecycle and remain resilient and adaptable to economic, environmental, social and political change. We also assess the existing maturity of your asset management system against the ISO 55000 series, and the assessment comes back with a roadmap to maturity and the continuous improvement opportunities that get you there. Executive level SWOT and PESTLE facilitation supports the same picture of business resilience, adaptability and sustainability.

Design & System Engineering

Design and system engineering is Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) study and analysis used to configure systems and assets to meet required performance at an acceptable risk, before equipment is specified and bought.

Shivaan Asset Management gives your design and procurement decisions the RAMS evidence to optimise the design and configure systems and assets that meet required performance at an acceptable risk.

The analysis is then used for equipment design, specification and procurement, and we assist with selection of the right equipment on the basis of its value through its lifecycle so it operates reliably in service. We can also develop and implement the RAM Plan and Report in accordance to EN 50126 and stakeholder requirements, and support Operational Risk and Hazard Identification and Functional Safety Analysis: quantifying the Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD) of critical systems to support Safety Integrity Level (SIL) verification in accordance with IEC 61508, and with EN 50126 and EN 50129 for rail applications, within an ISO 31000 aligned risk management framework. Translating failure modes into CMMS failure codes is our niche offering, delivered on SAP PM.

What we deliver

  • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Systems and Assets Criticality & Safety Analysis
  • Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD)
  • Fault Tree & Event Tree Analysis
  • Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Spares Criticality & Optimisation Analysis
  • Translate Failure Modes to CMMS Failure Codes (our niche offering)
  • RAM Plan and Report development in accordance to EN 50126
  • Operational Risk and Hazard Identification
  • Functional Safety Analysis: PFD quantification supporting SIL verification

Operational Readiness

Operational readiness is the work that takes a greenfield or brownfield project from design and construction to an operation whose people, processes and assets are ready to run and maintain it.

Shivaan Asset Management transitions, integrates and aligns the design and construction of systems to people, process and systems/assets readiness for greenfield and brownfield projects.

Readiness starts with the asset management plans, hierarchy, classes and register that give the operation a structure to work to, developed in accordance with the ISO 55000 series. Asset criticality assessment, FMECA and Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) then set the maintenance strategy, with spares and inventory sized against it and maintenance and shutdown planning built around it. Asset life cycle costing covering CAPEX, OPEX and zero-based budgeting, together with asset performance objectives and KPIs, gives the operation the numbers to plan against and be measured on.

What we deliver

  • Asset Management Plans (AMP) development in accordance with ISO 55000 series
  • Asset Life Cycle Costing including CAPEX, OPEX & Zero-Based Budgeting and Forecasts
  • Asset Hierarchy, Classes and Register Development
  • Asset Criticality Assessment
  • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Translate Failure Modes to CMMS Failure Codes (our niche offering)
  • Spares Criticality & Optimisation Analysis
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintenance and Shutdown Planning
  • Asset Performance: Objectives/KPI establishment

Operation & Maintenance

Operation and maintenance is the work of getting more from assets already in service, by optimising the operating and maintenance strategy against real failure data and keeping the CMMS data behind it accurate.

Shivaan Asset Management helps owners and operators get the most from assets already in service.

We optimise operating and maintenance strategies using real failure data, strengthen work management and planning, support defect elimination on chronic failures, and keep CMMS master data and failure codes accurate so every maintenance decision is made on evidence. Shivaan Asset Management can also assist businesses in development and implementation of RAM Plan and Report in accordance to EN 50126 standard and stakeholder requirements. We support Operational Risk and Hazard Identification, and Functional Safety Analysis: quantifying the Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD) of critical systems to support Safety Integrity Level (SIL) verification in accordance with IEC 61508, and with EN 50126 and EN 50129 for rail applications, within an ISO 31000 aligned risk management framework.

What we deliver

  • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

  • Systems and Assets Criticality & Safety Analysis
  • Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD)
  • Fault Tree & Event Tree Analysis
  • Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM)
  • Spares Criticality & Optimisation Analysis

Continuous Improvement

Continuous improvement is the audit and uplift of an operating asset base: the hierarchy, criticality, maintenance strategy, master data and performance measures are checked against the standard and improved.

Shivaan Asset Management provides a comprehensive range of services that assist businesses in gaining optimum value from their operating assets while maintaining an acceptable level of risk.

Shivaan Asset Management has vast experience in operating and maintaining assets and helping businesses mature to excellence. Audits cover the asset hierarchy, classes and register, asset criticality, maintenance strategy and asset performance, and master data support then standardises and optimises the maintenance plans that carry each improvement into the CMMS. The aim throughout is the full value of your assets, gained through strategic and sustainable asset management practices.

What we deliver
